Guests can invite other guests (T1136.003)
Guest invite restrictions let anyone in the organization invite guest users, including guests. Outside accounts can then bring in more outside accounts without an admin.
Why it matters
One guest account can invite others, so the number of outside identities grows without review. Each one is a possible foothold.
How GraphnAI finds it
It runs after every sync, on each connected domain or tenant on its own. It applies to Microsoft Entra ID.
It reads:
- 2 more GraphnAI analyses
Tiered Fidelity™ level: Theoretical
Every finding from this check carries the Theoretical level.
- TheoreticalThis checkConfigured in the directory. Nothing else checked.
- ConstrainedA constraint on it has been checked.
- ValidatedTelemetry has seen it in use.
Why there's no automatic fix
GraphnAI doesn't change Microsoft Entra tenant settings yet.
How to fix it
In the Microsoft Entra admin center, open External Identities, then External collaboration settings. Set Guest invite restrictions to "Only users in specific admin roles can invite".
